Concordia University Texas

At a glance...

Concordia University Texas is an award-winning institution of higher education, with its main campus in Austin. Concordia offers traditional undergraduate courses and a Master’s of Education graduate degree program, as well as the Accelerated Degree Program—a unique model of education that offers adults the chance to attain an undergraduate degree while attending only one class per week. Concordia offers 22 undergraduate majors in four colleges: Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences. For undergraduate students, the student/faculty ratio is 19: 1.

In 2008, after more than 80 years in its current 23-acre, Concordia University Texas moved its entire campus to a 389-acre property in Northwest Austin. With hundreds of acres of woodland and six state-of-the-art buildings totaling 195,000 square feet, the new property is allowing Concordia to continue its growth trend. Concordia’s new site includes 250 acres of nature preserve, with wetlands, caves, dense tree cover and a habitat area for the Golden-Cheeked Warbler.

Along with the campus move in 2008, the University announced the development of a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. Pending Texas Board of Nursing approval, Concordia anticipates admitting junior-level students to the Professional Nursing Courses of the Nursing Program in the summer of 2010.
